Welcome to my new series I’m calling “Loving It X 5”.
So many things to love about decor, trends and life stuff.
So please join me once a month as I discuss my monthly favorites.
I would love to hear what you think and tell me a few of your favorite things!
#1 The Turkish Towel
The Turkish towel is thin, light weight and filled with handmade goodness.
The towel is made of very absorbent “Turkish” cotton.
This special towel can be used many different ways.
It can be a towel, a travel towel, a blanket and a scarf.
If you want the real deal look for the tag to read 100% Turkish Cotton.
#2 The Harvest Table Used as a Kitchen Island
Nothing creates more warmth and homespun than wood in the kitchen.
I’m loving the old farmhouse look. It’s a little country and a little french!
A place to sit, bake and spend some time.
#3 Culinary Vintage Cutting Boards and Wooden Utensils
Adding a wood cutting board to any kitchen adds warmth and character. I enjoy looking for these culinary vintage boards at antique stores and flea markets.
Each piece can be displayed like art on it’s own or group with others.
Using some of these beautiful pieces in the kitchen creates a link from today to the past where every item was created with care, by artisans who cared about each detail.
I’m all for adding personality in to your home!
They are precious, but were made to be hardworking and sturdy.
All you need is fresh flowers!
I love tulips!!
I’m loving tulips right now (disclosure they are my go to flower) because they make me think spring is right around the corner.
Tulips symbolize imagination, dreaminess, perfect lover and a declaration of love.
You know what every designer says “Just add flowers”
The flowers add depth and life to your table or vignette.
#5 Sequence the Game
An unusual item I admit, however the weather has been so cold and snowy here that we have played this game numerous times.
Sequence is an abstract strategy board-and-card game.
My family really enjoys this game.
It can be played with 2-12 players.
